How old do you have to be to go to a rock concert?
I never see minors or little kids at a rock concert. Especially a Slipknot concert or any metal concert that gets rowdy and has cuss words! Even a Metallica concert or a concert with another band that sells alchohol, I never see kids around with parents. Maybe just sports events but not concerts.
Are there certain concerts that you have to be a certain age?
I have been to heaps of gigs/concerts and I think it depends on the venue. In my area there is a smaller venue (3000 capacity) that has all concerts 18+ due to the fact alcohol is served and you are free to drink anywhere within the venue.
There are another 2 venues that will allow all ages in to see the concerts as they do serve alcohol in the bar outside the arena but not inside.
I have also found that some concerts will not allow anyone under 16 to be in the general admission(standing only), they must buy reserved seating for their own safety.
I’ve seen kids at concerts, some so young that it’s cruel to have them out so late.
It would also depend on the parents commonsense, as I would never take a 5yr old to a concert but say a 10 – 12 yr old, if they really love the band I would consider taking them or I would insist an adult goes with them.
I think sporting events are often worse than some concerts with all the rowdy, drunken fools swearing and behaving badly.
