I have recently bought an Olsmobile 88, how do I tell what year it is?
I got it off a friend of a friend for 2 grand, it’s beautiful and almost mint, just 80k miles. I have 2 cars as it is but for 2k I could not pass it up.
It’s boxy, has a 3 stack of rear stop lights and sports bench seats. Burgandy interior if that helps.
Anyway, how do I tell what year it was made? No paperwork or anything is left, and the keys are copies… the originals long gone.
Look at the date that is on the Drivers Door or Door Pillar. If that sicker is gone then look at your vin, You can contact a GM dealer and they can look up the vin and tell you what year you have or you may be able to locate a Vin Decoder on line. the one I have linked will search 47-97 Olsmobile cars.
